| Abstract | 1）はじめに PFC乳剤を用いての体外循環および臓器保存について述べる. 2）体外循環 PFC乳剤をperfusateとした体外循環の可能性について, 仔ウシを用い検討したので, その成績を述べる. （1）研究目的 体外循環はGibbon, J.H.1）（1953年）が開心術に使用, 以来開心術には日常手段として用いられている. しかし, 血液需要の増加に伴う血液供給の困難, 大量輸血および人工心肺の副作用による出血傾向, 血清肝炎, 同種血輸血症候群6,7）, postperfusion syndrome等が問題になってきた. これらの合併症を防止する方法として1959年ごろより血液希釈体外循環が開発され, これが体外循環の基本的方法として現在用いられるようになった. 一方, Cooly, D.A.ら2）は血液希釈をさらに進め, 同種血を全く使わない無血体外循環法を臨床に応用し好成績を収めた. |

| Abstract | We reported the fundamental studies on the application of perfluorochemical emulsion（FDA） for extracorporeal circulation and organ preservation. 1. EXTRACORPOREAL CIRCULATION：Fluosol-DA was used for priming solution in extracorporeal circulation（ECC） in 8 calves. ECC was started after removal of 44-83％ of autologous blood. During ECC, the Hct ranged from 4 to 12％ and FDA proved to be able to deliver 76-84％ of the oxygen consumed by tissues. The distribution of FDA in various organs was measured after ECC. In the calf, which was sacrificed 395 days after ECC, only a trace level of FDA was demonstrated in the reticuloendothelial system. 2. ORGAN PRESERVATION：FDA was used as perfusate for organ preservation in two ways, （1）One is in situ perfusion of abdominal multiple organs for transplantation, in which when the perfusion started at least 30 to 60 minutes after cardiac arrest, the organs could be preserved in a good condition for 6 hours. This method was successfully applied to humans. （2）The other one is perfusion of removed kidney. We observed that FDA perfusate preserves the kidney for 72 hours. |
