| Abstract | はじめに エホバの証人1）は宗教的理由により輸血を受けいれません. 彼らは生命と血の創造者であられるエホバ神に全き信仰と従順を示す真のクリスチャンで, 聖書の「血は生命を表わす. 2）」という教えや, 「血を避けなさい. 3）」という神の命令に忠実に従ってきました. そのための治療に際し血の問題が起こることは珍らしくありません. 筆者自身エホバの証人であり, 過去10年以上にわたり, エホバの証人を含め多くの患者に無輸血で手術を行ってきました. 最近フルオゾールDAを用いた無輸血手術29例を経験しましたが, 今回1,000ml使用の12症例について報告します. 症例および研究方法 対象となったのは, 1979年10月以降, 1981年9月迄の期間, 市立川西病院において手術を受けた12名のエホバの証人で, いずれも1,000mlのフルオゾールDA（以下FDA）が投与された. 全例において2本の静脈路が確保され, 1本は乳酸リンゲル, 他はFDA輸注にあて1時間500mlの滴下速度にて注入が行われた. |

| Abstract | Recent progress in medical field has opened the possibility of doing major surgery without blood transfusion. Bloodless operations of 12 Jehovah's Witnesses patients were successfully performed in our hospital. More stable circulatory conditions were obtained by administration of Fluosol-DA, 20〜30mg／kg, even in the poor risk patients. Hemodynamics and blood gases were measured before, during and after infusion of Fluosol-DA. Oxygen carring capacity of Fluosol-DA was calcurated from the Data to be about 13Vol. ％ of that carried by whole blood. So, Fluosol-DA is considered as an available solution, for operation of Jehovah's Witnesses patients. |
