| Abstract | 105人を対象としてアレンテスト変法にレーザードプラー血流計を応用し, 以下の結果を得た. 尺骨動脈の圧迫を解除した際に, 第2指の血流が90％以上回復した例は59％あり, 50％から90％までの回復は32％, 50％以下にとどまった例は9％であった. 次に, 橈骨, 尺骨両動脈を単独に圧迫しても, 血流の減少がほとんどみられないのは, 第1指-87％, 第2指-77％, 第3指-80％, 第5指-80％であった. さらに, 尺骨動脈のみの圧迫が血流を極端に低下させた例は, 第1指-10％, 第2指-10％, 第3指-17％, 第5指-20％であった. レーザードプラー血流計を使用することにより, アレンテスト変法の信頼性が著しく向上するとともに, より簡便な方法を用いることが可能となった. |

| Abstract | The modified Allen test has been used in order to determine collateral flow via the superficial arch from the ulnar artery prior cannulating a radial artery. However, this test is not performed in unconscious patients and not always reliable. Therefore, we tried to reevaluate the modified Allen test in 105 surgical patients（63 males, 42 females；averaged age of 32 years old）, utilizing Laser doppler flowmeter（PERIFLUX(R)）. In the second finger, release of the occluded pressure over the ulnar artery resulted in more than 90 per cent return of flow in 62 hands（59％）, 50 to 90 per cent return in 34 hands（32％）, and less than 50 per cent return in 9 hands（9％）. Following manual compression of either the radial or the ulnar artery, no decrease of blood flow was measured in the thumb（87％）, in the second finger（77％）, in the middle finger（80％）, and in the fifth finger（80％）, respectively. After the compression of the ulnar artery, severe reduction of blood flow was observed in the 11 thumbs（10％）, in 11 second fingers（10％）, in 18 middle fingers（17％）, and in 21 fifth fingers（20％）, respectively. |
