Abstract「要旨」ICU入室術後患者44名を対象として, 術後早期の体水分量変化を, bioelectrical impedance analysis(BIA)法を用い検討した. 術直後の水分量は71.8±2.6%(mean±SEM)であり, 術後1日, 2日で70.2±2.0%, 66.5±3.1%と漸減したが有意な変化ではなかった. 術後の体水分量は血漿ANP濃度および体重変化と強い相関はなかった. 術直後で5名に, 術後1日で1名に体水分量異常高値を認めた. また術直後の体水分量は, 麻酔中の水分バランス, 手術時間とは強い相関を示さなかった. ICU入室後患者では, BIA法は術後早期の体水分量測定には適当とは思われなかった.

AbstractWe studied the validity of bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) for evaluation of total body water in early post operative patients. Forty-four patients who admitted in ICU were selected as the subjects in this study. Total body water, body fat and lern body mass were measured with BIA. Plasma ANP concentrations were also examined by radioimmunoassay. Total body water decreased from 71.9±2.6% (Mean+S.E.) in the operative day to 66.46+3.1% in the second post operative day. Abnormal values of total body water (more than 90%) were detected in five patients in the operative day and in one patient in the post oprative first day. No relationship was observed between total body water and plasma ANP level and between total body water and body weight change. there was no relationship between total body water in the operative day and water balance during operation. BIA is not a reliable method to evaluate total body water in the early post operative periods in patients in ICU.
